C2S Computer Assembly Training
C2S Computer Assembly Training
The workshop will take most of the day starting at 10:30am. We will break for lunch about 1:30pm. Students should bring sandwiches.
The spec and cost of the machine built on our last course was:
A 1Tb, 4Gb Intel CPU machine will cost £700 including the monitor, VAT and the tuition to assemble the PC, install driver software sand install Windows.
The CPU was an Intel CPU Dual Core E5800 3.2GHz LGA775 2MB cache. This is not fixed though. It will depend on availability and price. CPUs go up and down in price like any commodity.
For the interested parent - We have taught lots of staff to assemble these things over 15 years of trading so being a minor is not a requirement for admission. You simply need to pay the fee for the PC and the workshop.
Limitations
- The motherboard and CPU will be predetermined. This is to allow me to provide a stock of the most likely replacement parts should something go "pop" on the day.
- We will make sure the motherboard has an expansion slot so if anyone wants to plug in a fancy graphic card at a later date - they can.
- We will install Windows 7 home
- We will deliver with an optional 22" monitor at £100
Other Benefits
- We can produce a certificate for those who like that sort of thing.
- We will be happy to write a reference for anyone who attends - as long they prove capable!
Pre-empting the most obvious question - no you cannot bring your own adaptors and expect them to be plugged in - unless the teachers in a good mood and the day goes smoothly!
